Privacy Policy

Effective date:

This Privacy Policy explains what information Daily Cut accesses, how that information is used and stored, and when information may leave your device.

Your photos and videos are processed on-device.

Daily Cut does not upload the contents of your photo library to a Daily Cut server. Some data may be processed separately by Apple services such as iCloud Photos and the App Store, as explained below.

Information Daily Cut accesses

With your permission, Daily Cut accesses photos and videos, along with library information such as item identifiers, dates, media types, dimensions, video duration, and burst groups. You can grant full access or limit access to selected items.

If you enter a preferred name, it’s stored locally for greetings. Optional daily reminders use notification permission and your chosen time.

How Daily Cut uses this information

  • Display photos and videos and prepare review sets.
  • Record keep decisions and mark items for deletion.
  • Estimate storage and show review history, activity, streaks, and library progress.
  • Schedule reminders and determine whether Pro features are available.

Swiping to delete marks an item for deletion. You can review your choices before Apple’s Photos system asks you to confirm deletion.

Data stored on your device

Daily Cut stores preferences, review history, progress, and information needed to remember which items you’ve reviewed locally on your device. This includes item identifiers, review dates, and decisions. This information remains in local app storage unless updated or removed by the app or iOS. Deleting a photo may leave its review-history record.

Deleting the app generally removes its local data from the device. App data may also be included in device backups, depending on Apple’s backup behavior and your settings.

When data may leave your device

Daily Cut scans and categorizes your library on-device. It has no account or server for uploading your library or review history.

Apple’s Photos framework may download iCloud Photos items for display. Apple also handles library syncing, backups, and deletions according to your iCloud settings. These are Apple services, not uploads to a Daily Cut server.

Support emails leave your device through your email service, as described below.

Apple services and subscriptions

Daily Cut uses Apple frameworks for Photos access and local notifications. Monthly and yearly Daily Cut Pro subscriptions use Apple’s StoreKit. Verified purchase and subscription information lets the app unlock Pro features and restore purchases.

Apple handles payment information, renewals, cancellations, and its own data processing. Daily Cut does not receive payment-card details. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

The app does not use third-party purchase services, advertising services, or external AI services.

Analytics and diagnostics

Daily Cut keeps activity information, including review actions and dates, locally for summaries. This information is not sent to an analytics service.

The app has no external analytics SDK or third-party crash-reporting SDK. It doesn’t use advertising identifiers, referral tracking, or install-attribution SDKs. Apple may process system diagnostics according to your device’s analytics settings and Apple’s policies.
